Rafael Ottoni Santana
President and CEO, Wabtec Corporation

Rafael is President and CEO of Wabtec, a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail – and currently the most valuable rail technology company in the world. A native of Brazil, Rafael brings 28 years of executive leadership experience to this post and had extensive experience in product management and commercial leadership, including nearly 15 years in the transportation industry. He has a proven track record of transforming businesses, while delivering top- and bottom-line growth.

Rafael took the helm as President and CEO in 2019 as three multinationals (Wabtec, GE Transportation, and Faiveley Transport) became Wabtec. Prior to 2019, Rafael served as President and CEO of GE Transportation, a unit of General Electric company, where he significantly expanded the company’s regional footprint and built strong overhaul and modernization capabilities and backlog through multi-year programs. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of GE in Latin America, where he helped transform the market into one of GE’s largest and fastest-growing regions. A respected global executive, Rafael also served as President and CEO of the Turbomachinery Solutions Business of GE Oil and Gas, where he drove significant margin improvement and growth in a contracting marketplace. Prior to joining GE in 2000, Santana worked for six years at ExxonMobil and British American Tobacco.

Today, Rafael oversees Wabtec’s workforce of 27,000 employees in over 50 countries and serves on the company’s board. He also serves on the board for The Travelers Companies Inc., The Allegheny Conference on Community Development, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and The Latin School of Chicago.

Santana has a degree in engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil.

Event Ticket Pricing
Standard tickets are $90.  Reserved tables of 10 with priority seating and a logo on your table are available for $1095.

Register early as seating is limited and will fill up quickly.

Walk-ins
Walk-ins pay $100 at the door. We will try to accommodate individuals wishing to register the day of the event, but seating is limited and there is no guarantee. We strongly encourage you to register in advance.
