The program will introduce and explore the core concepts of modern data-driven, automated, and cyber-physical manufacturing systems for the current manufacturing workforce. The depth of coverage ranges from definitions and overviews to detailed hands-on activities using an example production process. Participants learn core strategies and approaches to Smart Manufacturing using data driven analysis, simulation, automation, and optimization techniques to improve manufacturing systems. Courses are detailed and provide deep dives into the management and implementation of Smart Manufacturing technologies including Data Collection and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Data Analytics and Predictive Modeling for Production Data, Simulation and Digital Twins, and Process and Manufacturing Systems Optimization
